The New Lease Accounting Standard (ASC 842)

Every company with leases, whether public or private and regardless of size or industry, will be impacted by the new lease accounting standard (ASC 842). The effective date of the FASB's new standard is just around the corner, so get ahead of the curve to ensure precious time to assess and implement ASC 842 is not wasted. 

Presenters: Sarah Ash, Protiviti and Eric Portlock, Protiviti 
Sarah Ash, Associate Director – Protiviti
Sarah is an Associate Director in Protiviti’s Internal Audit and Financial Advisory group. Her primary service delivery focus is in areas related to accounting and financial reporting. Her expertise consists of Accounting and Financial Reporting Assistance, Technical Accounting Research, Transaction Support Services, and Reconciliation Support Services. In recent months, she has been focused on working with companies to prepare for and implement the new revenue standard, ASC 606.

Eric Portlock, Director – Protiviti
Eric is a Director for the Business Performance Improvement and Internal Audit Practice in the Denver office. Since joining Protiviti in June 2004, Eric has worked on CPC, BPI, Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance, Internal Audit, Loss Prevention, and IA Portal Implementation projects in Software, Oil and Gas, Real Estate, Financial Services, Manufacturing, and Retail industries. Prior to working at Protiviti, Eric attended Brigham Young University where he studied Accounting and Music.

Business Breakfast Meetings are generally held on Tuesdays at different locations. There is no cost to attend the sessions and you do not have to be a member of FEI; however, you must register to reserve a space.
