To Lease or Buy, Which Option is Best for Your Business?

Purchasing a property to house a business (vs continuing to pay money to others for rent ) is often the right thing to do, particularly for privately held companies. There are, however, factors that should be considered. These include your current stage in the business cycle, capital investments and financial reporting.  In this discussion we’ll take an in-depth look at what it means to lease vs buy and in what situations each outcome prevails.

Bill Baldwin

Bill has over 30 years of corporate and commercial real estate experience in local, national and international environments. He specializes in complex real estate transactions that typically involve a significant level of strategic planning and financial engineering to execute on. Bill is well-versed in managing the process of multifaceted assignments to obtain internal consensus within the client organization as well as to execute to the desired objective.

Chad Kollar

Chad began his real estate career in the research department of Frederick Ross and Company in 2000. He transitioned to Liberty Greenfield specializing in market analysis, in-depth financial modeling, tactical negotiations, and complete project management. Liberty Greenfield merged with Cresa in 2008. Today in his role as a managing principal, Chad is not only a broker but also takes on business management responsibilities and acts as a mentor, helping up and coming Cresa brokers to develop their careers.

Charlie Lutz
